Numerous Drug Arrests Last Week in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – Authorities made several arrests for drugs recently in Jonesboro.

A search warrant by the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force resulted in one arrest last week. Around 10:43 AM on March 20 at the 800-block of South Caraway Road, at an apartment complex, police executed a search warrant and found meth, paraphernalia, and a firearm.

Albert Dobbins, 61, of Jonesboro, was arrested. Inside of his residence, authorities reported finding an old rusted 22 caliber revolver, two digital scales with residue, a glass meth pipe, and 24 grams of suspected meth. Authorities also collected $1,055 in cash into evidence.

A traffic stop for a non-working brake light led the JPD Street Crimes Unit to make a drug bust last week. Between 4 PM and 5:18 PM on March 20 near Southwest and Parker, police noted a blue and tan Ford Expedition with a passenger side brake light not working. Investigators ran the tags and found the insurance to be unconfirmed. A traffic stop was conducted.

Officers noted the subjects in the vehicle to be extremely nervous during the stop. After a K9 sniff alerted police to something inside, a search was conducted and authorities learned the reason for the apprehension. At least 26 grams of suspected crystal meth was located in the vehicle. Scales with meth residue were also found.

George Wesley Siddons, 65, and Miranda Nicole Brown, 27, both of Weiner, were arrested. Siddons, the driver, is charged with possession with intent to deliver.

Another search warrant executed on March 20 led to more drugs, including fentanyl. We previously reported on what happened here:
