JONESBORO, Ark. – On March 20, 2024, several of JPD’s Delta Squad officers responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment in Garden Manor. According to the complainant, sounds resembling a dice game were heard followed by a single gunshot, leading to silence.
Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and conducted a security sweep, revealing a strong odor of marijuana within the apartment and visible contraband. Subsequently, a search warrant was obtained and executed.
During the search, law enforcement confiscated over 10 ounces of marijuana, along with 231 pressed M30 pills suspected to contain Fentanyl, scales with baggies, and approximately $2500 in cash.
A single individual was arrested and charged with trafficking Fentanyl and possession of Schedule VI substances with intent to distribute.
Ivory Lee Jones, 39, was booked on a drug trafficking charge.
