JONESBORO, Ark. — An altercation at a Valley View school left an 11-year-old boy with severe injuries recently in Jonesboro.
The incident was reported to have occurred between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on October 11 at 2115 Valley View Drive, the address for Valley View Intermediate School. The circumstances leading up to the incident weren’t clear in the Jonesboro Police Department incident report, which is mostly masked due to juvenile involvement. However, an 11-year-old white male suffered a brain bleed and a fractured skull after being “slammed.”
The report lists the suspect as an unknown race 10-12-year-old male. It isn’t clear if authorities have an identity.
The incident is being investigated as a felony second-degree battery case, due to the serious injuries caused. The charge, a Class D felony, carries up to six years of incarceration if convicted.
With the suspect believed to be as young as ten, it is likely any charges would be handled in juvenile court.
The police report shows to have been filed at 8:17 AM on October 13. The most recent update released Monday, October 16, showed the case to be under investigation.
NEA Report will update this story with more as it is learned.
This is so very, very sad. Two young lives negatively effected, one hopefully will recover, the other may very well be condemed forever……
Honestly, I could care less about the little bastard who hurt this student. I’m sure the kid who did this is from a family that makes this shit ok. Nothing but a huge trouble making family. And most likely colored. I’ve seen Valley View allow some trashy families into that school.
Two white children bud, don’t be so hateful and disrespectful. That school 90% white brother man and trash comes in all races.
Colored, please these white students are the main kids that are disrespectful. U need a reality check!…. Valley view is full of white kids (spoil and disrespectful)
