
JONESBORO – Offering an alternate way to celebrate Halloween, the Department of Art + Design will host its 5th annual Halloween Arts Bash on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center.
This event will feature numerous activities including haunted charades, a haunted house gallery, a Halloween costume contest for visitors, and a costume design contest for faculty.
The winners of best of show will get a small prize. In addition, there will be pumpkin painting, tic-tac-toe, candy corn bowling, free coloring books, trick or treating, vendor booths, a haunted hall as well as opportunities for photos.
The Arts Bash is intended for Halloween revelers of all ages.
“We believe in helping to create a vibrant local community, so it’s important for us to be engaged. We are committed to making Northeast Arkansas a place where creativity is welcomed and encouraged,” said Dr. Temma Balducci, chair of the Department of Art + Design.
The event is being supported through fundraising that is being done by the students who are organizing it.
A hand-painted bag sale will be held on Friday, Oct. 13, from 10 am. until 2 p.m. at the Reng Student Union. There will be fall and Halloween-inspired totes for sale for $5 each
