JONESBORO, Ark. – A 15-year-old was left with injuries after being robbed on Sunday evening in Jonesboro.
The incident occurred between 7:00 PM and 7:14 PM on October 1 near the 1500-block of North Church Street. The victim, a 15-year-old white male, was riding his bicycle when he was pursued by two juvenile suspects, described as black males about five-feet tall and between the ages of 10 and 18. The suspects knocked him off his bike, assaulted him, and stole his belongings, according to the police report.
The teenage victim sustained scratches on both sides of his face, slight bruising to the left eye, and red marks on his back.
While it wasn’t explicitly mentioned in the visible portions of the report, the stolen items included a $300 pair of prescription glasses. The victim’s bicycle was also damaged during the incident.
As of the last update, the case remains under investigation.
