JONESBORO, Ark. – Earlier this week, a juvenile was the victim of an assault and had his bicycle stolen in Jonesboro.
The exact location of the incident is undisclosed, but it occurred between 2:30 and 3:00 PM on September 24 within the city. The victim’s mother reported the crime to the police. The victim, a 12-year-old black male, was allegedly attacked by three other children. The assailants were described as two 12-year-old black males and one 11-year-old black female.
As a result of the assault, the victim sustained a cut on his forehead and a bruised left eye. His blue Huffy BMX-style bicycle was stolen during the incident. Fortunately, the bicycle was later recovered on Easy Street, albeit in poor condition.
It remains unclear whether the police have made contact with the assailants or their guardians as part of their ongoing investigation into the matter.
