Jonesboro, Ark. – A fatal shooting occurred Thursday in Jonesboro. A juvenile suspect is in custody.
The press release from the Jonesboro Police Department says around 9 PM on Thursday, November 17, police responded to an unknown disturbance in the 300 block of Sagewood Drive.
Officers discovered that a shooting had occurred, and the victim, Christopher Rudley, 18, had been transported to an area hospital by a personal vehicle. A short time later, he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives arrived to begin their investigation into the events surrounding the shooting incident.
A juvenile male, 14, was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center. He is facing charges of 2nd-degree murder and theft by receiving, JPD said.
