
JONESBORO, Ark. – A large drug seizure was reported this week in Craighead County.
On Sunday, September 18, deputies with the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office and agents with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force seized more than 18 pounds of methamphetamine as well as a little over $120,000 dollars.
Deputies performed a stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense. Throughout the course of the investigation of the traffic stop and the utilization of a K9, deputies on the scene recovered a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, a release posted to social media said.
The suspect was then placed under arrest and agents with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force, the Jonesboro Police Department, the Arkansas State Police and the Craighead County Sheriffs Office conducted a search warrant on the suspect’s residence where more suspected drugs and related proceeds were located.
