
A traffic stop in Trumann resulted in a suspect allegedly running – but not for long – before being arrested on numerous charges.
Carson Gates of Walnut Ridge was arrested on Tuesday in Trumann after allegedly fleeing from a traffic stop initiated by Officer David Davison.

Gates was found, arrested, humiliated on social media, and charged with Fleeing, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, Possession of Meth or Cocaine L/T 2g, Non-Financial Identity Fraud, Theft by Receiving (Firearm), Resisting Arrest (Refusal to Submit), and an Absconder Warrant.
A bond of $100,000 was set at a Probable Cause hearing on Wednesday, May 4.
