Police are investigating an aggravated residential burglary that left one victim injured Friday evening in Jonesboro.
Around 10 PM Friday night, April 1, a witness told the Jonesboro police that three suspects forced entry into an apartment in the 2000-block of Belt Street. The suspects demanded property and fought with the male resident, JPD said in a release posted to Facebook.
The victim suffered an apparent gunshot wound as he was trying to retreat to safety. He was taken to an area hospital by personal vehicle. He is listed in stable condition at this time.
Detectives have been called to the scene to continue the investigation surrounding this incident.
