Armed bank robbery Wednesday morning in Jonesboro

Jonesboro police were investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 11:50 a.m. Wednesday at a local bank.

An unknown suspect entered the First National Bank branch located on the corner of Fair Park Blvd. and Highland Drive. Below is a picture of the suspect that fled the area on foot.

An undisclosed amount was taken during the robbery.

Anyone with information on this person or crime is asked to contact the Jonesboro Police Department at 870-935-5657.

This incident is under investigation at this time, police said..
