One of NEA’s yearly fall traditions will continue this year with the announcement of the Maynard Pioneer Days festival happening September 16, 17, and 18 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).
Contests of all sorts are planned for the event, including youngest/oldest attendees and furthest traveled – adding a little incentive for those who want to make the drive.
A $300 grand prize is offered this year for the winning float in the annual parade. The parade is set to begin at 10 AM on Saturday, September 18. Winners will be announced in the afternoon.
On top of all of that, a blacksmith demonstration will be held during the day. Craft vendors will be set-up, too. Live music and concessions are also part of the event.
