One arrested in Greensboro Road shooting that injured one

A suspect was arrested in the shooting earlier this week in Jonesboro

Jonathan Clark was arrested in connection to the Wednesday evening shooting on Greensboro Road that left another man injured.

JPD Detectives developed Clark as a suspect and obtained information that he had fled the state, a release said. Officers began coordinating with the US Marshals Service, who located the suspect at a family’s residence in Rantoul, Illinois.

Clark was arrested during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon. He was taken to the Champaign County jail, where he will await extradition back to Jonesboro.

Around 6:13 p.m. Wednesday, Jonesboro Police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 1800 block of Greensboro RD.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. He was treated on scene and transported by EMS to an area hospital.
