Man shot in the chest Saturday; Spree of vehicle break-ins; Other weekend reports released by JPD

A Great Dane trailer unit valued at $26,000 was reported stolen Friday morning. It was thought to have been stolen in Texas. The report was filed online.

Another trailer theft was detailed in reports released Monday, but this theft was thought to have happened between 12/3 and 12/6, 2020. It was reported stolen from the 2800-block of Quality Way in Jonesboro. The report said the Cobb Police Department recovered the trailer.

A man was arrested after an officer who was off duty noticed him driving all over the road with a child sitting on the lap of a passenger. Matthew A. Tucker 29, of Jonesboro, was arrested Friday afternoon for third degree endangering the welfare of a minor and hazardous driving.

A report Friday indicated that a 15-year-old in Jonesboro was threatened by a gang leader for trying to leave the gang, according to a DHS social worker.

A woman was arrested with suspected cocaine, warrants, and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in which she also had a suspended license. April A. Johnson, 39, of Jonesboro, was arrested Friday evening near Word/Drake.

A man was arrested for felony possession of several drugs around 4 AM Saturday morning in Jonesboro. Christopher John Schultz, 55, faces charges including possession with intent to deliver. He was found with over 10 grams of suspected meth.

A man was arrested Saturday morning at the 400-block of E. Matthews for a felony charge of forging a prescription. James Reed, 38, of Jonesboro, was arrested.

An unknown suspect forced entry into a home at the 4000-block of E. Nettleton Avenue overnight Friday and stole items.

A hit and run accident Saturday evening ended with a woman being arrested on several charges. Police responded to Nettleton/South Caraway for the accident. Debra Ann Dunaway, 61, of Jonesboro, was arrested on charges including leaving the scene of an accident, no proof of insurance, following too close, and careless and prohibited driving.

A victim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest between 9 PM and 11 PM Saturday at the 100-block of Holmes Road. The police report says that the suspect shot the victim with a handgun and then fled the scene. The only details about the suspect visible in the report were that it was an African American male.

Police shut down a party early Sunday at building 9 of the 500-block of North Caraway Road. A large group were arrested for minor in possession of alcohol while a 22-year-old was arrested for contributing alcohol to minors.

A robbery was reported Sunday afternoon at the 1900-block of N. Culberhouse Street. At about 1 PM, police were told a suspect attacked a victim and stole property. Theodore Robert Seggerman, 32, of Jonesboro, was arrested following an investigation.
