JONESBORO — Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin announced Tuesday that he will be seeking another four-year term as the city’s chief executive.

“We will kick off the campaign at a future date,” Perrin said. “Right now, my primary concern is leading our community through these uncertain times of COVID-19. In this ever-changing situation, we have new challenges every day. We are working to meet these adversities and help our citizens to recover and prosper.”

Perrin, a career bank and finance executive, has served as mayor for 12 years after 15 years as a member of the Jonesboro City Council.

“Many in our community have encouraged me to share my election plans. We wanted to make this official today so my campaign team can assemble and begin organizing. There will be plenty of time for campaigning later, but for now I have a job to do, and that is where I will continue to focus my energy and effort. As always, I remain dedicated to moving Jonesboro into the future.”
