
PARAGOULD, Ark. – A press release indicates authorities are working a murder case in Greene County.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office received information yesterday (Monday, January 13th) of a murder that may have occurred at a residence located at 322 Greene 702 Road.
At approximately 11:00 p.m., sheriff’s department deputies along with Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division responded to the residence identified in the information and located the body of Michael Dewayne Nix, 33 years old. Nix’s body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory where a manner and cause of death will be determined.
During an investigation that is continuing, local deputies and state police special agents obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin Dale Brady, 54 years old of Jonesboro who was later located at a residence in Greene County where he was taken into custody without incident.
Brady is to be charged with murder (first degree), a release said, and is currently being held in the Greene County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
