
JONESBORO, Ark. – The man wanted for murder in a New Year’s shooting at the Haven Hotel on Caraway in Jonesboro is now in custody.
Laquinton Jemerial Lauderdale, 22, of Jonesboro, was booked at 2 AM Monday, January 13 for first degree murder, jail records from Craighead County Sheriff’s Office show.
Lauderdale had been wanted since the night of the shooting. He was thought to have been wounded in the hand in the shooting that claimed the life of Tiquan Wilson. Wilson was shot several times in the incident. He was placed on life support and later died.
Lauderdale remained active on social media until the day police revealed Wilson had passed away.
UPDATE – 9:30 AM
JPD reported Lauderdale was arrested early Monday morning in Crittenden County by Jonesboro Police Officers and the US Marshals East Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, assisted by Arkansas State Police and Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office. He is presently awaiting a bond hearing.

Narrative – Jefferson, Christopher – 1/13/2020 (Initial)
On 1/13/2019 While working as a members of the United States Marshals Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, Inv Jefferson, Inv Landreth and Sgt Dupuy received information that Arrestee #1 (Lauderdale, Laquinton) was hiding out in Gilmore Arkansas with his Aunt Kerby Jefferson. Investigators went to Gilmore and met with Crittenden County Deputies and Arkansas State Police. Before approaching the residence Sgt Dupuy observed Arrestee #1 (Lauderdale, Laquinton) and two unknown subject enter a silver SUV which was parked in the driveway.
Arrestee #1 (Lauderdale, Laquinton) was stopped driving the vehicle near intersection of Front St and Marnesha St without incident.
Arrestee #1 (Lauderdale, Laquinton) was transported to CCDC and held in lieu of a probable cause hearing for his Murder warrant.
