18 year old killed in pedestrian/vehicle accident

JONESBORO, Ark. – A young woman tragically died after being struck in traffic Thursday night in Jonesboro.

Jonesboro Police worked a motor vehicle accident Thursday evening at the intersection of Johnson Ave. and Pleasant Grove Road.

Officers arrived a little after 9 p.m. and discovered a female pedestrian had been struck by a pickup truck that was traveling west in the outside lane of Johnson.

Angel George, 18, of Jonesboro, was transported to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
