PIGGOTT, Ark. – The Clay County Sheriff is warning of a phony police officer reportedly operating in the county.
The sheriff’s department received a report from the Piggott Police Department of an individual posing to be a police officer. He is reported to be driving a white charger with a single blue light bar on the roof. The light is detachable.
The man was wearing a black hoodie and black beanie.
This incident happened between Greenway and Rector.
If you are ever pulled over and feel that you are in danger, please call 911 and the dispatcher will advise you if it is an officer or what to do if it is not. Also you can continue to drive to a well lit area. You can also always ask to see the officers badge. – Clay County Sheriff’s Department
