JONESBORO, Ark. – Authorities have made a quick arrest in a murder investigation which was launched Sunday morning.
An arrest was announced in the homicide of Alissa Reynolds, 50 of Jonesboro, police announced Monday morning.
Officers apprehended 48-year-old Shawn Cone in Key West, Florida.

Cone flew from Memphis, TN to Florida with an unknown destination.
Detectives were able to develop strong leads that helped identify the suspect early in the investigation, police said.
Police were initially notified by concerned family and friends on Sunday when they were not able to make physical contact with the victim. Around 6:45 p.m., officers forced entry into the home and were able to locate the victim deceased.
Cone will be extradited back to Jonesboro for prosecution. The investigation is still an ongoing investigation.
“This marks a new high for us as far as the amount of homicides we’ve had this year but we want to stress these are not random acts,” said Sally Smith, JPD Public Information Specialist. “The majority of the homicides we’ve seen this year are tried to drugs or domestic violence.”
Jonesboro police issued a special thank you to CBP and Homeland Security Key West, the Monroe Sherriff’s Department of Key West and local Federal Agencies with their help in this arrest.
Wow, only in Jonesboro would they explain away murders by saying “oh, there might be a bunch, but all is ok because they all know each other!!”
Omg! You are right!
