JONESBORO, Ark. – A 40 year old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile in what was described as a long-term “relationship.”
The JPD High Tech Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a tip which alleged that a 15 year old female had been involved in an ongoing sexual relationship with a 40 year old male, identified as Aundra Woods.
This report began with a Facebook Cypertip which showed a graphic sexual conversation between Woods and the juvenile female in which the juvenile sent multiple nude photos of herself to Woods, according to a release by police. Woods allegedly created several “fake” social media accounts in which to contact the juvenile over the course of several weeks. Police said information in the social media accounts confirmed that Woods and the victim carried on a long term sexual relationship and that Woods requested inappropriate photos and sexual acts multiple times.
Later conversations between the two depict an attempt to fabricate a story which could give the appearance that it was someone else with whom the juvenile had been involved, the release added.
An arrest warrant was executed for Woods on 11/1/19 in conjunction with the JPD Street Crimes Unit. Woods was taken into custody and was held at CCDC over the weekend to await a probable cause hearing.
Monday afternoon, Judge Boling gave Woods a bond of $25,000 and a First Appearance date of 12/30/19. Woods was charged with internet stalking of a child (class Y Felony – 10 to 40 years or life), distribute possess viewing matter depicting sexual conduct involving child (class C Felony – up to $10,000 and/or 3 to 10 years), and sexual assault 4th degree/sexual intercourse (class D Felony – up to $10,000 and/or up to 6 years).
