
TRUMANN, Ark. – Three suspects face serious charges after weekend incidents involving multiple robberies at gunpoint.
On Saturday, officers with the Trumann Police Department responded to two incidents of Aggravated Robbery: one on Mulberry Dr. and the other on Main St. in Trumann.
In both incidents a vehicle pulled up to the victims brandished a firearm and demanded items, namely cell phones.
The Trumann Police Department began to investigate both incidents and contacted the Arkansas State Police as well as the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation. Through witness statements, a suspect vehicle was identified.
A BOLO was placed on the vehicle. The TPD was notified by the Jonesboro Police Department that a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle was involved in a robbery as well as a hit and run accident within their city limits.
Arkansas State Police located the vehicle on Hwy 463 and initiated a traffic stop.
Tristan Shelley, 26, Kalonji Benson, 18, and Annah Kessler, 21, all of Trumann were arrested for Aggravated Robbery, Theft of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by certain persons.
The suspects were transported to the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Department to be held for a Probable Cause hearing. Jonesboro Police Department as well as Craighead County Sheriff’s Office will also have charges on the suspects.
