Robbery of woman on Friday being investigated

JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman became a victim Friday evening after she was robbed at her apartment of cash, a report filed with JPD said.

The woman, 61, was reportedly robbed at her home at the 2000-block of Belt Street. Police responded at 6:23 PM Friday night, October 4. The woman said a black male robbed her of $40 in cash and then fled.

The report indicated several details about the suspect. He’s described as “Jordan,” age 18-20, 5’3″ and 150 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, and a slender build. His hair is short and he’s clean shaven.

JPD Public Information Specialist Sally Smith did update NEA Report at 4:15 PM Monday to let us know a suspect has been arrested in this case.

The Criminal Investigation Division began reviewing the case on Sunday for assignment.
