Shots fired Saturday in Bono

BONO, Ark. – Evidence of gunfire was noted by Craighead County deputies who responded to a shots fired call late Saturday in Bono.

It happened between 8 PM and 9:36 PM Saturday, Sept. 14, at the 500-block of County Road 338. A 67-year-old woman said she was sitting in her living room and heard a noise which sounded like gunfire. She didn’t think anything else of it until later.

When her sister and brother-in-law arrived at her home, they told the resident about several holes in the roof, a wall, and in both sides of their a wall upstairs. A bullet was located in the upstairs area.

Deputies began patrolling the area  attempting to locate anyone shooting a gun.

Authorities were also on the lookout for someone possibly riding four-wheelers, due to a call coming in of people riding on an ATV while spotlighting. However, deputies were unable to locate anyone.
