JONESBORO, Ark. – There appears to be a deep local interest in the special election to decide if Jonesboro gets a one percent tax raise hike for public safety and quality of life.
Numbers released Wednesday – day two of early voting – were almost as good as day one. 1,222 early voted on Wednesday in Craighead County, compared to 1,235 on Tuesday. In other words, about a one-percent drop.
