JONESBORO, Ark. – A fun activity for everyone will be coming to downtown Jonesboro.
Jonesboro’s first axe throwing venue, Civil Axe Throwing, is opening to the public on an estimated date of June 1st.
Civil Axe Throwing is a large, indoor entertainment venue that allows guests to partake in axe-throwing – a game of skill where players hurl a dulled hatchet at a wooden bullseye.
Located at 316 South Main, Civil Axe Throwing includes 4 lanes and one-hour sessions for groups with up to 8+ people or large groups of up to 50. Civil Axe Throwing will partner with nearby restaurants and bars for full catering services, providing guests with several available options for food and beverage.
“We’re excited to bring Civil Axe Throwing to Jonesboro and share this new source of entertainment with the city,” said Scott Brewster, Civil Axe Throwing Director of Marketing and Sales.” “Jonesboro is a great city because it embraces new and unique ideas, so we knew that this had to be the next city in which we opened our 7th location.”
Zac Qualls of Haag Brown Commercial was instrumental in helping the national tenant find the perfect location in Jonesboro.
”It has been a lot of fun working with Civil Axe Throwing in finding a location in Jonesboro that suited their needs. They wanted to be in a specific part of the city that would really benefit their business and the businesses around them. It was a pleasure working with Clay Young of Young Investments, LLC who assisted us in finding the right property downtown and went above and beyond for my client. This opportunity will be a win/win/win for Civil Axe Throwing, Young Investment Company and Downtown Jonesboro and will be a lot of fun for Jonesboro residents! Our company cannot wait to throw some axes!”
Civil Axe Throwing opened its first location in Huntsville, Ala. in 2017 as the first and largest indoor axe throwing venue in the state. It quickly became one of the most popular entertainment experiences in the area, later expanding to other cities in the region including Birmingham, Chattanooga, Montgomery, Memphis and Corinth.
In addition to Jonesboro, Civil Axe Throwing plans to open an additional 20 locations within the next 18 months, a release said.
