KLEK, Jonesboro Visual and Performing Arts encouraging students taking ACT Aspire Test

KLEK 102.5 FM, Jonesboro’s community radio station, will be working with Jonesboro Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School to get students ready for the ACT Aspire Test.  KLEK will host a special Pep Rally at the school on Tuesday, April 23.

“We are so excited to partner with Jonesboro Visual and Performing Arts School on this event,” said LaGanize Kale, KLEK General Manager. “We look forward to providing a memorable experience that not only motivate the kids to do their best on the ACT Aspire test but to reinforce pride in their school.”

According to the Arkansas Department of Education website, state law requires all public school students between 3rd and 10th grade to participate in the ACT Aspire exam since 2015.  The exam tests students in English, reading, writing, math, and science.  All schools must take the exam by May 10.

Students will also get a chance to win door prizes which have been donated by local businesses in Jonesboro.
