Ellington announces he is running for circuit judge

JONESBORO, Ark. – Many political announcements will be forthcoming over the next few weeks and months as election season has yet again arrived.

Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington announced on Tuesday he is seeking a new office: the newly created circuit judge position for the 12th district.

Ellington was elected prosecuting attorney for the Second Judicial District of Arkansas in 2010 and re-elected to a second term in 2014. His first term began on January 1, 2011.

Prior to his role as prosecutor, Ellington served as a Deputy Prosecutor, beginning in 2007. Before joining the prosecutor’s office, he worked in private practice for 15 years.
