Woman suspected of shoplifting at Hobby Lobby

JONESBORO, Ark. – A Hickory Ridge woman is suspected of taking some 20 pieces of jewelry from Hobby Lobby and not bothering to pay for it.

It happened between 6:30 PM and 7 PM Thursday, April 11. Police were dispatched at 6:43 PM to Hobby Lobby (1843 E Highland Drive). The suspect, Tammy Alese Williams, 53, of Hickory Ridge, “was observed placing multiple pieces of jewelry inside her purse.” The report said she then took the items out of the store without paying.

20 pieces valued at $123.10 were itemized as being taken. It was recovered from the suspect’s purse and returned to the store.

Williams was arrested and taken to Craighead County Detention Center on a charge of theft/shoplifting less than $1,000. She was shown as booked at 7:50 PM. She bonded out at 8:53 PM.
