JONESBORO, Ark. – A call about drug activity at an abandoned house on Creath in Jonesboro led to several hundred dollars worth of crack being discovered and more.
At about 1:30 PM Wednesday, April 10, agents with the Second Judicial District Drug Task Force visited 1007 Creath Street where a complaint was centered. The complaint was that drug activity at the abandoned house was happenening at all hours. The tip included the detail that Shawn “Tick” Mosely and Anthony “Rock” Thomas were often at the residence.
“They sell crack, meth, weed, and alcohol and Thomas will hide it in the trees in the back,” the report by Officer John McGee said of the tip.
When agents arrived, six people were present and all said they weren’t staying there. They described it as a “party house” the report said but no furniture was present and it wasn’t safe to occupy.
As agents with code enforcement arrived to examine the property, one of the task force agents found a “mixed nuts” can behind the property. There, a set of digital scales were hidden along with 7.5 grams of crack cocaine. Agents also located several smaller baggies of marijuana int he residence.
While authorities did find an estimated $700 in crack and up to $100 in marijuana, there were no suspects the officers felt the drugs could be connected to. The drugs were taken into evidence to be destroyed. All parties were released from the scene.
