Shooting victims released from hospital as police search for clues

JONESBORO, Ark. – An early morning shooting on Thursday sent two to the hospital who were fortunate to have only minor injuries but no arrests have been announced by police yet.

On Thursday, November 15, 2018 Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department received a call requesting they respond to the 500 block of North Main Street. At approximately 4:00 am Officers were called to the home in response to two subjects there being shot. Once there, officers contacted two victims. One victim is a 29 year old male and the other is a 28 year old male. Both had sustained non life-threatening injuries. Both victims received medical attention on the scene and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital to continue medical care and are considered to be in stable condition.

Both victims have been released from medical care after being treated for their wounds. One victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh and the other victim suffered a superficial wound to the head after being struck by glancing gun fire that first struck him in the upper thigh.

The press release said this is an active investigation. Detectives are working to develop leads based on evidence collected and statements provided by victims and witnesses. But no arrests have been made.
