
JONESBORO, Ark. – Since a man was almost murdered Tuesday morning, police have sought the dangerous suspect to no avail. Fortunately, the victim is expected to survive.
On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at approximately 3:40 am, a JPD press release from Cpl. David McDaniel said officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were called to an apartment in the 3000 block of Barrett Circle with regards to a person being shot.
When the responding officers arrived on scene they learned the resident had been struck by gun fire. The victim received medical treatment and was transferred to a local hospital where he is currently receiving medical care.
Officers learned that three unknown subjects had come to the apartment and shot at the victim. The victim was shot one time and was seriously wounded.
Detectives with the Jonesboro Police Department were called to the scene where they were able to collect several items of evidence. At this time there has been no arrest made and Detectives are working to identify the suspects involved.
In an update sent out Wednesday, police said the victim of the shooting, 28 year old Kristopher Hollis, is now recovering from his injury. Hollis was struck one time by gun fire in the abdomen. Hollis received emergency medical care from the gun shot wound and is now considered to be in stable condition.
