One shot early Sunday at Waffle House in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – An early morning shooting at a Waffle House in Jonesboro is under investigation by police.

On Sunday, August 5, 2018 Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department received a call requesting they respond to a disturbance. At approximately 2:30 am Officers were called to 2905 Phillips Dr in response to a fight at the Waffle House at that address.

Once there officers learned that a subject had been shot. The victim of the shooting had sustained a non life-threatening injury and received medical attention and was later released.

Detectives were called to the scene of the shooting where statements from witnesses were gathered along with evidence.

At this time there has been no arrest made with regards to the shooting and Investigators request that if anyone has information that will lead to the arrest of the person responsible for the shooting to please contact Jonesboro Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 870-935-6710. Several violent incidents involving crowds have been reported at this location, recently. On Tuesday, July 10, we showed video on Stan Morris Reporting of one of the incidents where a woman pulled a gun before it was wrestled away from her.
