36 Years in Prison for Role in Death of Laurie Pixler

JONESBORO, Ark. – A second suspect has entered a guilty plea for his role in the September 25, 2016 robbery, kidnapping, and murder of a Dollar Tree worker.

Byron Ford pleaded guilty to kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and second degree murder, Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington told NEA Report.

Ford will receive 36 years plus four years suspended on the kidnapping and robbery charges, Ellington said. He will receive 20 years for the second degree murder charge plus 10 years suspended imposition of sentence (SIS). All will be served concurrently (at the same time, rather than one after the other).

This means Ford received a 36 year prison sentence for his role in the crimes, Ellington confirmed.
