Man wanted for fleeing police in stolen vehicle, says detective

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A suspect is wanted for fleeing authorities in an allegedly stolen vehicle, a release said from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 6, 2018 Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle out of Craighead County. The driver, Greg Fender, led deputies through three counties involving the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police. Fender is wanted in connection with three stolen vehicles out of Craighead, Lawrence and Randolph counties.


During the pursuit Fender abandoned the stolen vehicle he was driving in a field in Randolph County. A short time later Fender stole a vehicle nearby and fled the area. Fender was last seen driving that vehicle, a red 4 door Chevrolet pickup, with Arkansas license 075XEP.

Authorities are asking the public for help locating Fender.
