Crawford issues statement on tax reform

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Rick Crawford from the First District of Arkansas issued a statement in support of the GOP’s success Tuesday in passing a tax reform bill in the House of Representatives.

The bill was modified in the U.S. Senate and passed overnight. It must be again passed by the House before it can be signed into law.

“On top of making it simpler to file every year, the vast majority of middle-income families in my district will get to keep more of their money to use as they wish, and 1st district businesses, both large and small, will be able to invest in new employees, assets, or pay raises,” Crawford said. “These changes will create new jobs in our rural towns and bring opportunity back from abroad for our children and grandchildren, making east and north-central Arkansas communities even better places to live.”
