JONESBORO, Ark. – A victim is in critical condition while a suspect is in custody after a fight led to a stabbing, JPD reports.
At 2:38 p.m. on May 17, 2017, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were dispatched to 1819 Cedar Heights in reference to a fight that resulted in the stabbing of one person.
Upon the arrival of responding officers, they located the victim with one stab wound. The identity is being withheld pending notification of family. Officers were also able to identify the suspect who was located in an apartment in the area.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment of a wound that appeared to be related to the fight.
The victim was also transported to a local hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition.
This incident is currently under investigation.
