JONESBORO, Ark. – While caregivers are tasked with jobs requiring great patience and compassion, a report made with Jonesboro Police Department suggests the contrary.

Police were dispatched to 2818 Fox Meadow Lane in reference to the abuse call, the report says. There, a Mid-South Health mental health worker was accused of abuse. The report says a caregiver observed her supervisor allegedly get angry and slap a patient on the left side of the head.

The woman who made the police report said she called family members of the victim and then filed all necessary reports. The victim was transported to NEA Baptist hospital by medics to be checked for any injuries.

The following day at 10 a.m., police returned to the location to check on the victim. A caretaker said the victim’s mother had taken her back home the prior day. The mother advised police over the phone that the victim was fine and had no injuries. The mother said the victim would not be returning to 2818 Fox Meadow Lane.

No other details were listed in the report. No arrests were listed.
