JONESBORO, Ark. – Spring is right around the corner, and the City has already started several beautification projects in preparation for the influx of visitors traveling to Jonesboro with the warmer weather.
One great way to help keep Jonesboro looking great is to participate in the intersection adoption program. This program allows a business or individual to “adopt” one of 10 cloverleaf intersections along I-555. Your sponsorship pays for all the lawn care and maintenance that goes along with keeping these areas looking pristine.
“We believe it’s one thing that Jonesboro does that makes us more welcoming when you just come in from traveling off the interstate,” Mayor Harold Perrin said. “In some places, these cloverleaves can look pretty ragged, but we’ve always had volunteers who stepped up and contributed to our effort to keep these roadsides mowed and landscaped.”
One available for adoption now is at the Caraway exit. Sponsors receive a road sign with their organization’s name. If you or your business are interested in adopting an intersection, contact the Mayor’s Office at 932-1052 or Beverly Daniel at 972-9093.
