Jonesboro police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident that occurred Friday afternoon in the 1100 block of Cartwright Street.
Police were called to the area shortly after 12:15 Friday afternoon and found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police were told the shooting followed an altercation. Detectives have interviewed a number of persons and have collected items of evidence as the investigation continues.
