Oct. 1 – Sharehope Walk of Remembrance & Hope

Jonesboro, Arkansas, – On Saturday, October 1, 2016, hundreds will gather on the NEA Baptist medical campus for the 8th annual ShareHope Walk of Remembrance & Hope – an event that honors the memory of babies who have died. The walk culminates a week of activities for the 11th annual Hope Week and is an initiative of the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation ShareHope to raise awareness and funds for the free support program.

On-site registration for the event will begin at 8:00 am at the NEA Baptist medical campus, located at 4800 E. Johnson. The memorial service and balloon release will begin at 9 am, with the Memory Mile walk following.

The ShareHope Walk of Remembrance & Hope brings together families, friends, co-workers, congregations, and community members for a morning of family activities, a memorial service, balloon release, and one mile memory walk that ends in the prayer garden at NEA Baptist. Anyone who has ever experienced the loss of a baby, either as a parent, family member, friend or support system, is encouraged to attend.

Pre-registration is available through September 23rd online by going to RacesOnline.com and searching for ShareHope Walk. Registration without a shirt is free and allows participants to submit the name of a baby for the memorial section of the program. Individuals, team member, and Angel in the Crowd registration fees are $20 per person and include a t-shirt. Kids under 12 may register for $15 to receive a t-shirt. Hoodies are also available for $30. All funds from shirt sales will go back to the ShareHope program to support families in need.

NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation ShareHope is a pregnancy and infant loss support program. As part of the National Share Infant Loss Support, Inc., the mission of ShareHope is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life.
