Reward offered in Osceola murder

OSCEOLA, Ark. – A reward is being offered in the murder of an Osceola man.

The Facebook post by the Osceola Police Department says a $1,000 reward, paid for by the family, will go toward anyone providing information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual (s) responsible for the murder of Earnest Battles, which happened at about 1 a.m. Saturday, March 19 at the 300-block of St. John Avenue.

Battles was gunned down in his own bathroom. He suffered until 3 a.m., dying in a nearby emergency room.
