Football player, another, arrested during domestic dispute call

JONESBORO, Ark. – A call about a domestic dispute resulted in two arrests Tuesday, including a former NFL undrafted free agent for the Washington Redskins.

Joshua Dewayne Jarboe, 26, of Atlanta, Ga. was arrested around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning by police in Jonesboro. The arrest happened at the 600-block of Melrose Street at the home of Felicia Vincent, 30.

It began as a call for a domestic dispute but when the officers arrived, they found drugs, according to Jonesboro Police Department Information Specialist Paul Holmes.

Jarboe and Vincent were both arrested. The two who were arrested both face several felony charges. Among the charges listed include felonies for possession of drug paraphernalia, of a schedule VI substance with purpose to deliver, possession of firearm by certain persons and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Jarboe, a former A-State football player, is listed as a player for the Iowa Barnstormers – an Arena Football League team. However, the man has had a troubled past, with even the New York Times reporting extensively on the matter.

Jarboe has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver before, in Dec. 2014, according to a KAIT report.

Members of the drug task force are investigating the case. More information will be added to the story as it is provided.
