Arkansas State University’s “Into the Howlverse” Homecoming celebration features student activities, alumni reunions and a tailgate with free food before the Red Wolves host Georgia State on Oct. 24.

Previous Homecoming Week event on campus

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University will take a trip “Into the Howlverse” to celebrate Homecoming Week with alumni and student events on campus from Oct. 20-24. The week will conclude with the Red Wolves football team facing Georgia State at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

The theme for this year’s Homecoming is based on Marvel’s “Into the Spider-Verse,” with activities related to the animated movie.

The Strong-Turner Black Alumni Chapter will begin Homecoming celebrations at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, with a business meeting in Reng Student Union. This will be followed by a Casino Night and Spades Tournament from 8 to 11 p.m., also in Reng Student Union. From 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 25, the Strong-Turner Black Alumni Chapter will host a scholarship brunch in Reng Student Union.

The A-State Alumni Association will celebrate on game day, Saturday, Oct. 24, with a Homecoming Tailgate from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Alumni and friends are invited to join the event, open to all ages.

The Alumni Association will also honor the 2026 Distinguished Alumni, Dr. Timothy D. Langford, Phillip T. Poston and Dr. Billy Don Tiner at a morning event and during halftime of the game.

“Come hungry and ready for a good time. We’ll have free food and drinks, bounce houses for the kids, games on the TVs and a visit from the A-State band, all leading up to kickoff,” said Amanda McDaniel, director of alumni events and affinity relations.

From 4 to 5 p.m., the association also will celebrate the Class of 1976 with a 50-year reunion at Cooper Alumni Center. Alumni can reconnect with classmates, share memories and enjoy an afternoon together before cheering on the Red Wolves.

“Homecoming is really about connection. It brings generations together and reminds us that A-State will always be part of your story. For alumni who haven’t been back in a while, it’s exciting to see how much campus has changed while still feeling that familiar A-State spirit, and reconnecting with old friends and making new memories,” said McDaniel.
