JONESBORO, Ark. — A woman is facing a felony charge after police said she held a folding box cutter to her boyfriend’s neck and threatened to cut and kill him during an argument.
Linda S. Clark is charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member, a Class D felony, according to Craighead County court records.
Officers were dispatched Aug. 13 to Mabrey Lane for a reported domestic disturbance. The alleged victim told police he and Clark had argued earlier that day over items on his phone.
The victim said Clark became angry, pulled out a folding box cutter with a blue handle and put it to his neck. Clark allegedly threatened to cut and kill him before he escaped and called for help.
Before her first court appearance, District Judge David Boling found probable cause and set Clark’s bond at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was also issued. Judge Tommy Fowler left the bond in place at Clark’s 8.1 hearing on Monday, Aug. 17.
Clark’s next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Sept. 30.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
