TRUMANN, Ark. — Authorities are investigating a robbery incident at Burger King in Trumann.
A robbery was reported Tuesday, May 19, at the Burger King in Trumann, both Mayor Jay Paul Woods and Police Chief Doug Thomas confirmed to NEA Report Tuesday afternoon.
According to Thomas, at approximately 5:16 a.m., police received a report of an armed robbery in progress at the Burger King located at 504 Industrial Drive in Trumann.
When responding officers arrived on scene, they located two employees inside the business. A third employee, who placed the 911 call, was located standing in the parking lot of the neighboring Walmart.
Employees described the suspect as a lone Black male dressed in all black clothing and armed with a handgun.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery. No employees were injured during the incident.
The Trumann Police Department, along with agents from the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division, is actively investigating the incident.
