JONESBORO, Ark. — A 19-year-old Earle suspect was arrested after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on County Road 716 and alleged he struck a pregnant victim in the face, prevented her from leaving and held her against a vehicle hood.
Mikerrion Mikelle Coppage, 19, of Earle, was arrested by the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office on charges of domestic battery in the third degree involving a pregnant woman, a Class B felony, and second-degree false imprisonment, a misdemeanor.
Judge Tommy Fowler set bail at $75,000. Coppage’s next court date is April 23.
According to a probable cause affidavit, deputies were dispatched March 24, 2026, to County Road 716 for a domestic disturbance in progress.
The alleged victim told deputies she found a condom in Coppage’s car and accused him of cheating on her, according to the affidavit.
The victim said Coppage tried to grab her phone after she attempted to get out of the vehicle. She told deputies Coppage grabbed her by the shoulder area and punched her in the face. The victim also said she was 10 weeks pregnant and that Coppage knew she was pregnant, according to the affidavit.
The victim told deputies she tried to get out of the car, but Coppage would not let her out. While trying to get out over the hood, she said Coppage grabbed her around the waist and held her there before she was able to escape and run back to the apartment, according to the affidavit.
During the altercation, the victim suffered injuries to her left shoulder, left eye and a busted lip, the affidavit states.
Authorities said Coppage admitted striking the victim but claimed it was in self-defense. According to the affidavit, he said he believed she was pregnant but did not think the baby was his.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
