JONESBORO, Ark. — A Jonesboro suspect was arrested after police alleged he threatened to kill a victim, restrained her from leaving and struck her in the face during a domestic disturbance on Hester Street.
Bobby Ray Greene, 41, was arrested on charges of first-degree terroristic threatening, a Class D felony, third-degree domestic battery and second-degree kidnapping/false imprisonment, misdemeanors.
Judge Tommy Fowler set bail at $35,000 and ordered no contact. Fowler also noted prior domestic charges. Greene’s next court date is May 18.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro officers responded March 24, 2026, to Hester Street in reference to an assault and battery.
The alleged victim told officers she and Greene had been arguing and that Greene became intoxicated and told her he would kill her at the time she left the residence to allow him to become less intoxicated, according to the affidavit.
When she returned, the victim said she found Greene inside the residence intoxicated. She told police Greene would not let her leave for work or for a child exchange and that when she tried to get away from him, Greene began throwing items around the residence, restrained her and struck her in the face, the affidavit states.
Officers later made contact with Greene inside the residence after hearing items slamming, according to the affidavit. Police said Greene appeared obviously intoxicated based on his speech and demeanor. A shampoo bottle was found open and spilled near the bottom of the stairs, and a chair was overturned in the garage, according to the affidavit.
Police reported the victim had a scratch on her left eyelid and redness with swelling on the left side of her face.
The victim also told police Greene had become physically aggressive upstairs when she returned later to get her child and that she attempted to defend herself before Greene restrained her and struck her in the face, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit states the victim told officers Greene is unpredictable when intoxicated and that she believed he could try to kill her.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
