Suspect Wanted in Kentucky Arrested in Jonesboro With Stolen Firearm

JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect wanted in Kentucky was arrested this week, after Jonesboro police located a stolen handgun at a local pawn shop, according to a police report.

Jonesboro officers responded to a pawn shop on Feb. 23 at Nettleton Avenue after being notified that Gamarius Isby, 21, was attempting to pawn a handgun. Officers determined the firearm had been reported stolen from another jurisdiction. According to the affidavit, Isby told officers he had purchased the firearm from another individual in 2025.

Investigators contacted the agency that had reported the firearm stolen and learned Isby had been identified as a suspect in that case with supporting evidence.

Isby was taken into custody and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center. He was arrested for theft by receiving a firearm valued at less than $2,500.

Judge Tommy Fowler set bail at $50,000 cash or surety. Court records note the suspect is also wanted in Kentucky.

Isby’s next court date is scheduled for March 20.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
