Three Arrested in Attempted $30,000 Lawn Mower Theft in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — Three suspects were arrested after police say they attempted to steal multiple lawn mowers from a Jonesboro business.

On Feb. 12, 2026, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were dispatched to a reported theft in progress at Lowe’s in Jonesboro. A caller reported that two individuals were attempting to steal lawn mowers from the front of the business.

According to the affidavit, the suspects were seen driving a white box truck, cutting security cables and fueling the lawn mowers in an attempt to remove them. When they were unable to fully cut through the cables, the suspects re-entered the vehicle and attempted to leave.

Officers arrived before the vehicle exited the parking lot and stopped it. Three suspects were taken into custody and identified as Kemar Kentrell Coleman, Daquan Greene and Ladavion Wonsley. The two cables tampered with during the incident were attached to eight separate lawn mowers with a combined value of $30,592, according to police.

Officers also obtained video footage from the business showing the attempted theft.

All three suspects are charged with criminal attempt, a Class C felony; first-degree criminal mischief and possessing instruments of crime, both misdemeanors.

Judge Barbara Halsey set bail at $50,000 for each suspect. They are next scheduled to appear in court April 23.
